Making a light in four easy steps with 3DS MAX
STEP 1:
Create a base for your light using splines. I started off with creating a rectangle base. I then created an egg spline as a separate object and resized the top of it.
STEP 2:
Attach each spline together including the egg together. Add a surface modifier as well as the turbo smooth and BOOM, you have the base of your light.
STEP 3:
Next you need to create the bars that stop idiots from touching the light. Using a spline, create a curved line and also a circle. Once done, using the loft tool attach the line to the circle so that it creates a bar.
STEP 4
Duplicate the bar to your fancy whilst resizing it to fit your created light.

These next clips are the previews for the animation project. I have gone back and changed them since these previews were rendered.
